Erin was an accomplished championship dancer when she began as an Assistant Teacher with the Duffy Academy in 1998. Erin is tremendously grateful to May and Liz Duffy for the incredible dance education she received. It was at the Duffy Academy and assisting with the dance education of the students there, that Erin developed her passion for Irish Dance, and her passion for preserving the rich traditions and history of the Irish people and their cultures both here in America and abroad in Ireland. It was during Erin’s time with the Duffy Academy and under the guidance of May, that her journey of sharing this beautiful art form and sport with future generations began.

Through the years, Erin has also worked as a Teaching Assistant and studied with, The Spirited Soles Irish Dance Academy under the direction of Lisa M. Santacroce, T.C.R.G., the Kieran Jordan Dance Studio under the direction of Kieran Jordan, T.C.R.G., and The Golden Harp Irish Dance Company under the direction of Deirdre Golden Davies, T.C.R.G. The New England Regional Oireachtas and countless Feiseanna.

Erin is especially proud of the top New England Regional Champions she and her colleagues have coached through the years. She is also extremely proud of her many New England Regional Traditional Set Champions. Traditional fundamentals have always been at the heart of everything that Erin teaches her pupils, and attributes the success and ability of her dancers to compete and perform at modern levels of Irish Step Dancing to the strong foundation they receive.

Erin is beyond excited to begin the 11th year of The Mulcahy Academy Of Irish Dance with her dancers and staff. And looks forward to many happy memories made in this new dance year before us.

“I believe the strong community we have fostered here at the Mulcahy Academy will indeed be more important now than ever before. As we all learn to live, and dance together through these uncertain times. I am comforted to know, that the strongly connected dance family we have here will surely help us through to the other side of this pandemic. And for that, I feel blessed. – Erin”
